Xavier Beteta is a Guatemalan-American composer living in Chicago. In 2013 he won the Silver Medal at the International
Antonin Dvorak Composition Competition in Prague. His works have been performed by ensembles such as Accroche Note, Ensemble Signal,
the Mivos Quartet, The San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, and the Guatemala National Symphony, among others. He teaches at Wheaton College.
